Tony Okocha, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has revealed the true reason behind the state’s issue.
Okocha accused the courts of being responsible for Rivers State’s political instability.
He chastised former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi for stating that President Bola Tinubu will not step down in 2027 during a news conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
“Politicians are in Nigeria to steal, maim, and kill, and to stay in power,” Amaechi had stated last week. You’re wasting your time if you believe Tinubu will grant it to you.
Okocha responded to the remarks by accusing Amaechi of trying to stir up discontent with the government and a desire for chaos.
During his time as minister, he charged Amaechi with neglecting to bring development projects to the South-South region.
“The issue causing Rivers State’s political instability is the judiciary. Even when a higher court has decided otherwise, judges still make decisions about PDP congresses, Okocha claimed.
