The opposition may create a coalition before the 2027 presidential election, according to Kola Ologbondiyan, a former national publicity secretary for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Ologbondiyan cautioned the ruling party about the weight of what lies ahead.
Regarding AIT, the PDP leader stated: “What is coming is heavy, what is imports the desire, readiness of the opposition figures to pull together.
“And if the picture we are picking is right, I would ask Nigerians to go and rest because there is hope ahead. In Ghana, opposition won an election.”
This comes as Atiku Abubakar, a former PDP presidential contender, affirmed the efforts to unite the opposition.
Atiku denied reports that he had defected to the Social Democratic Party, or SDP, although he did affirm the opposition’s efforts to build a coalition.
