A prominent businessman from Osokwa Ancient Kingdom in Osisioma Local Government Area, Chief Chizaramekpere Abraham Sunday, has strongly refuted claims that the kidnappers’ den where four victims were rescued by the Abia State Police Command was located in Osokwa Community.

According to Chief Chizaramekpere, who is the Chief Executive Officer of DONZARA Logistics and widely known as Osokwa First Son, the hideout was actually situated in Obiekwesu, Arungwa, another village within Osisioma LGA.

“I want to correct this misinformation—the kidnappers’ den was not in Osokwa but in another village within Osisioma. I know the efforts we have made to equip and support security in Osokwa, and I can confidently say that our community is not a safe haven for criminals or criminal activities,” he stated.

Chief Chizaramekpere acknowledged that the police may have mistakenly referenced Osokwa, but he urged the general public and the people of Abia to understand that Osokwa remains a peaceful community that does not harbor or condone kidnappers.

As a well-respected community leader, Chief DONZARA has played a significant role in empowering Osokwa’s youths and women, helping many establish businesses to ensure they have sustainable livelihoods.

He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening security measures within Osokwa, vowing to continue supporting efforts that will keep the community safe and crime-free.

It will be recalled that on Saturday, the Abia State Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, announced that the police had successfully rescued four kidnapped victims in Osisioma and neutralized six kidnappers.

Following the operation, Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, ordered the demolition of the bungalow where the victims were held.
