The Rivers East Affairs (REA), led by Comrade Martins Azirindu Okpara, was officially inaugurated on Sunday at Helena Haven Hotel, Choba.
The body was launched as a socio-political movement with a mission to demand accountability from legislators, shifting focus from the traditional scrutiny of only the executive arm of government.
REA is composed of passionate individuals drawn from the Rivers East Senatorial District, which covers eight local government areas and six federal constituencies.
As part of its strategic engagements, the group, led by Okpara, also paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Sunny Mbazie, a renowned communication scholar specializing in political communication and strategy.
