Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has described President Bola Tinubu’s administration as “more evil” than that of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Lawal argued that removing Tinubu in 2027 would be pointless if another administration with similar traits replaces him.
“There’s no point taking out Bola Tinubu if you are going to replace him with a more evil government,” he said. “He is evil, completely evil. Buhari’s government was not this evil.”
Lawal maintained that his comparison was relative, saying his description of the current government as “evil” suggests previous administrations were more tolerant and considerate.
He accused the Tinubu government of failing to build on the progress made by the Buhari administration in the fight against insecurity.
“Goodluck Jonathan fought insecurity but was not successful. Buhari took over, but this government is not interested in that,” he added.
