Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged a member of the House of Representatives, Leke Abejide, to remain in the African Democratic Congress ADC and continue his actions within the party.
Gbajabiamila made the remarks during a birthday event organised by the lawmaker, where he commended Abejide, a key figure in the Nafiu Gombe led faction of the ADC.
He described the lawmaker’s actions as beneficial to the All Progressives Congress APC and advised him against defecting to the ruling party.
“Don’t come to APC. Stay in ADC and scatter them. We like what you’re doing. Don’t mind former governor Yahaya Bello, who said you should join APC.
“No, no, no, stay in ADC and win your election. Also, bring Bala Gombe, and we’ll support him. Good luck in court,” Gbajabiamila said.
The remarks come amid ongoing internal disputes within the ADC, which have led to the emergence of rival factions within the party.
