Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has clarified the purpose of his meeting with the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, amid speculation linking the visit to a possible invitation to the African Democratic Congress.

Speaking after the meeting on Thursday, Mohammed declined to reveal full details of the discussions but confirmed that the engagement focused on political strategy, alignment, and potential collaboration among opposition groups.

He said “This is why we say we have to be strategic neither ADC nor PDP is left alone we are all in the opposition and that is why I said it is a political discussion.”

“I will not let you know what we have discussed in terms of the l’s and the T’s we have crossed but certainly it’s about realignment alignment and cooperation so that we can have a common platform we can not do without platform,” he stated.
