The political landscape of Aba Central Constituency witnessed a defining moment on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, as renowned philanthropist, grassroots mobilizer, and Founder of Donko Care Foundation, Mr. Roseson Francis Obasi (Donko), officially declared his intention to contest for the Abia State House of Assembly under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The declaration ceremony, held at CS Park, Aba, attracted a large gathering of party leaders, stakeholders, youths, women, supporters, and members of the APGA family from across the eight wards of Aba Central Constituency. The atmosphere reflected growing enthusiasm and belief in a new political direction centered on purposeful leadership, inclusiveness, and people-oriented representation.
Speaking during the declaration, Mr. Roseson Francis Obasi described his ambition as a call to service inspired by the desire to reposition Aba Central for meaningful growth and sustainable development.
