Enzo Maresca has reportedly signed a three year contract to become the new manager of Manchester City FC following the departure of Pep Guardiola.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X, Maresca has already agreed a deal that will run until June 2029, marking the beginning of a new managerial era at the club.
Romano stated that Maresca will be fully involved in Manchester City’s transfer strategy as part of his new role.
“Enzo Maresca has already signed a three-year deal as Manchester City’s new manager.
“Agreement until June 2029 and new chapter to start soon at MCFC, with Maresca fully involved in the transfer strategy.
“Here we go, 100% confirmed.”
Maresca, who previously managed Chelsea and Leicester City, has been without a club since leaving Stamford Bridge in January.
Reports indicate he turned down other offers while waiting for the Manchester City job.
His appointment comes shortly after Guardiola concluded his final match in charge, a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
