Carabao Cup First Round Draw Unveiled as Premier League Sides Learn Opponents

The draw for the first round of the 2026/2027 EFL Cup, popularly known as the Carabao Cup, has officially been completed, with clubs across the northern and southern sections now aware of their opening fixtures.

Preliminary round matches are still scheduled before the first round fully gets underway. Tranmere Rovers will face Rochdale on August 1, while York City will take on Crawley Town on August 3.

Current holders Manchester City lifted the trophy after defeating Arsenal at Wembley Stadium in March, with Nico O’Reilly scoring twice in the final.
