Bayern Munich forward, Luis Diaz, has backed his teammate, Harry Kane, to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Diaz made his position known in a video shared by Bayern Munich on Thursday, describing Kane as the player who deserves the prestigious individual award.
The Colombian international praised the England captain for his all round contribution, saying Kane consistently makes an impact in different areas of the pitch.
“He does everything. He attacks, defends, and assists,” Diaz said when asked why Kane should win the Ballon d’Or.
Diaz also highlighted Kane’s impressive goalscoring record and his determination to continue improving.
“He was one of the top scorers in the whole world last season. That is why I think he deserves it. 100%.
“He always wants more, refuses to settle, and he helps you as a teammate to grow.”
Kane scored 72 goals for Bayern Munich and England last season, underlining his outstanding individual campaign.
The striker also helped Bayern Munich secure the Bundesliga title under manager Vincent Kompany.
At international level, Kane was part of the England squad that finished with a bronze medal at the 2026 World Cup.
Diaz believes Kane’s goalscoring numbers, consistency and influence on his teammates make him a strong candidate for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
