Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty of 114 of the 115 charges brought against them over alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations.
According to a report attributed to the Daily Mail, the findings follow a lengthy investigation into the club’s financial dealings over nine seasons, from 2009 to 2018.
The Premier League had accused the reigning English football giants of failing to provide accurate financial information during the period under investigation.
An independent commission concluded its hearing in 2024, but the prolonged wait for a verdict has generated considerable speculation about the potential consequences for the club.
If the reported findings are confirmed, Manchester City could face severe sanctions, including substantial points deductions, heavy financial penalties or relegation from the Premier League.
There is also speculation that retrospective points deductions could affect previous seasons and potentially place some of City’s Premier League titles at risk.
