The African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, has vowed to retire from partisan politics if President Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress, APC, wins the 2027 presidential election.
Amaechi urged ADC leaders and supporters across the country to intensify their campaigns in their respective states to challenge the APC in the 2027 election.
Speaking at the ADC National Women League Conference in Abuja on Wednesday, he warned that an APC victory would result in the retirement of several ADC leaders from active politics.
He said:
“If you are not from FCT, go home and campaign. Me, I am going on Wednesday. I will not wear a suit, I will dress like a young man.
“If APC wins, we are retired from politics.”
