Peoples Democratic Party chieftain Emmanuel Ogidi has hinted that the party will soon sanction members accused of indiscipline, particularly the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

Ogidi made the statement on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television, where he discussed the crisis within the party, describing the situation as internal sabotage.

He said the PDP had moved beyond the demands presented by Wike’s camp, insisting that the party belongs to Nigerians and not to any individual or group.

“You can’t serve two masters. He (Wike) is supposed to be serving us in PDP but he is serving APC. This is a threat to democracy. APC is using him to destroy democracy and it’s deliberate but we are very conscious of that and very soon you will hear what will happen,” Ogidi said.

The PDP chieftain stressed that the party would no longer tolerate indiscipline, warning that members working against its interests would face sanctions.

He added that efforts to reconcile aggrieved members should not be mistaken for an acceptance of disorder within the party.

Despite defections, legal disputes and disagreements over zoning, Ogidi maintained that the PDP remained strong and indestructible.

He said the party was focused on ensuring a successful national convention as it prepared for the 2027 general elections.
