Former Labour Party vice presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, has criticised supporters of Peter Obi, popularly known as Obidients, over attacks against him, warning that he has more damaging revelations to make about the former presidential candidate.
Datti made the remarks during an interview with Symfoni TV, accusing Obi’s supporters of attacking him whenever he speaks about their political principal.
He warned that continued attacks would not stop him from making further disclosures about Obi and the 2023 presidential election.
“Obidients are always eager to attack me. I have more damaging things to reveal. You attack me because I told you the truth about Peter Obi,” Datti said.
The former vice presidential candidate maintained that he remains a loyal member of the Labour Party but would not be intimidated into silence by supporters who, according to him, are unaware of what transpired during the 2023 election.
Datti has recently criticised Obi’s moves to join the African Democratic Congress coalition, a position that reportedly angered some Obidients.
His comments attracted accusations from some supporters of betraying Obi and working in favour of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
