Youths in Zamfara State on Monday staged a protest against the administration of President Bola Tinubu, blocking a major road in Gusau, the state capital.
A video circulating on social media showed protesters chanting “Tinubu Must Go” while carrying placards and leaves.
The demonstrators expressed frustration over the rising cost of living and worsening insecurity, accusing the government of failing to address the challenges affecting Nigerians.
One of the protesters, speaking in the video, said, “We are tired of hunger, we are tired of killings, Tinubu must go, we need a better Nigeria.”
The demonstration reportedly began in the early hours of Monday and caused significant traffic disruption, leaving motorists stranded for several hours.
Security operatives were later seen attempting to disperse the protesters to prevent the situation from escalating into violence.
As of the time of this report, neither the Zamfara State Government nor the police had issued an official statement regarding the demonstration.
