It is still within the right of Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu led administration to conduct another Local Government election in Abia State.
At least nobody will say that the Government is conducting it because they lost election, this has been Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu vision to allow the third tier of Government experience Democratic administration just like the state.
In 2016, Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu conducted Local Government election, in 2020, Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu conducted another Local Government election and this third one has been scheduled by ABSIEC to be conducted in May 2023.
The Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC) had since January issued notice for the conduct of this same election before the February 25th and March 18 Presidential, National Assembly, Governoship and State House of Assembly election.
The new administration whose tenure will commence by May 29th must allow democracy to thrive in the third tier of Government instead of running to court to stop the process.
The timetable for the election was already out before the general election, it is a process that funds has been allocated to.
Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu is still in order to conduct the said election.
