The number of hours needed to use one unit of energy, or [1KWH], has been revealed in response to the Nigerian energy Regulatory Commission’s decision to raise the price of electricity for customers in Band A inside urban areas from N225 to N225 per kilowatt.
This was announced by SatiSense on Thursday in a post on its X account.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the NERC has approved an increase in electricity tariffs for Band A subscribers.
Musliu Oseni, the Vice Chairman of NERC, declared that electricity rates will increase. Customers will now pay N225 per kilowatt-hour instead of the existing N66 due to this modification.
According to NERC, just about 15% of its customers will be impacted by the new electricity pricing.
