Activist Aisha Yesufu has disparaged the supporters of President Bola Tinubu in relation to the recent increase in electricity prices.
Yesufu questioned why the higher cost of energy was causing those who had been able to sleep despite the incompetence of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to suddenly find it difficult to do so.
She posted the following on her X handle: “You slept through the incompetence of Buhari and Tinubu but suddenly cannot sleep because of increased electricity tariff? Haba! This too shall pass. Just increase your usual praise for the incompetent and failed illegitimate government.”
According to reports, users in Band A inside metropolitan areas will now be able to purchase power at a rate of N225 per kilowatt, according to approval from the Nigerian power Regulatory Commission (NERC).
