Omoyele Sowore, a former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has declared that President Bola Tinubu’s fascism needs to end immediately.

The statement was released following the arrest of Comrade Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and the Department of State Services (DSS) raid on the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) office in Abuja.

It was previously stated that Ajaero had been arrested by the DSS, and that the Service had later closed down the SERAP headquarters in Abuja.

Ajaero was being picked up by the secret police as he was ready to board a plane for an official duty in the United Kingdom.

DSS has also requested to meet with the directors of SERAP in Abuja in a different report.

Sowore, however, charged that the new DSS chief was taking up work for his “uncle,” Tinubu, in a post on his X account.

He declared: “I can’t understand the pact @NLCHeadquarters leaders had with @officialabat for them not to have shut down the damn country and sided with the people. Is it that they did some shady underground dealings they are being blackmailed with? #FreejoeAjaeroNOW #RevolutionNow.

“The new DSS @OfficialDSSNG has resumed work for his uncle Bola, as Operatives Storm @SERAPNigeria Office In Abuja, Demand To See Their Directors!
Fascism of @officialABAT must be stopped NOW! #revolutionnow.”
