Jamal Simmons, the former director of communications for Vice President Kamala Harris, has proposed that President Joe Biden resign so that Harris can become the first female president.
“Joe Biden’s been a phenomenal president; he’s lived up to so many of the promises he’s made. There’s one promise left that he could fulfill, being a transitional figure,” Simmons said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“He could resign the presidency in the next 30 days, make Kamala Harris President of the United States.”
According to reports, former US President Donald Trump defeated Democratic Party Vice President Kamala Harris in the nation’s November 8 presidential election.
Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and the other twelve swing states were all won by Trump.
According to reports, Trump is scheduled to take the oath of office as the 47th President of the United States in January 2025.
