The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has launched its electronic membership registration project, setting an ambitious target of enrolling 200,000 new members within the first month.
The initiative was unveiled on Monday at a meeting in Yola attended by party chairmen, state executives and influential stakeholders drawn from all local government areas.
State APC Secretary, Dr. Raymond Chidama, said the digital registration system would modernise the party’s internal structure and improve how membership data is managed for strategic planning.
“This digital system will help us know our members, identify them accurately, and extend opportunities to the right people,” he said.
State Organizing Secretary and Coordinator of the e-registration exercise, Mustapha Ribadu, explained that the initiative followed a detailed review of the party’s previous electoral performance relative to its membership figures. He said the upgraded digital register would give the APC a more credible and verifiable foundation ahead of future elections.
Governorship hopeful Abdulrahman Haske welcomed the project, expressing confidence that it would strengthen the APC’s prospects in the 2027 polls.
“We will take back Adamawa State. Adamawa is APC and APC is Adamawa. We lost the state in 2019 and 2023 owing to division within the party, but we are taking care of that and we are set on our winning way,” he said.
