The Director General of the Protocol Directorate at the Kano State Government House, Abdullahi Rogo, has stated that residents and voters in Kano State have agreed that former governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and the current governor, Abba Yusuf, should defect from the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Rogo made the claim in a viral video released by Arewa Update on Sunday.
He explained that the decision followed consultations involving the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and other members of the Kwankwasiyya movement.
“After our meeting with the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and other members of Kwankwasiyya, we agreed that Kwankwaso and Kano State Governor Abba K. Yusuf should join the APC,” he said.
