As Alex Otti marks his 61st birthday, Dr. Pastra Arinze Etie, Group Managing Director of Bems Group, has described the occasion as more than a personal milestone, calling it a moment to reflect on leadership that prioritizes institutional strength and long-term public value.

In a goodwill message released on Wednesday , Dr. Etie emphasized that sustainable governance is achieved when leaders move beyond short-term optics and focus on rebuilding systems, restoring public confidence, and enforcing operational discipline across government functions.

He noted that such a governance approach is particularly critical in public finance and service delivery, where credibility, consistency, and system integrity determine measurable outcomes.

According to him, the Governor’s leadership has fostered an enabling environment for practical reform and system-led execution in Abia State, creating room for strategic partners to contribute meaningfully to institutional strengthening.

Dr. Etie expressed appreciation for the opportunity granted to BemsSoft Hub Ltd to support revenue modernization efforts in the state. He explained that the engagement is focused on simplifying revenue processes for citizens, automating collections to enhance transparency, and reinforcing operational accountability through SmartAirs-driven solutions.

“Sustainable reform is built when leadership vision is matched with systems that work in the real world. Our responsibility is to translate reform intent into operational reality that benefits citizens and strengthens public institutions,” he stated.

He concluded by wishing the Governor good health and renewed strength in service, expressing confidence that sustained investment in institutional capacity will yield durable and compounding outcomes for Abia State and its people.
