The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has announced adjustments to its timetable for the submission of nomination forms, screening of aspirants and primary election activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed the changes in a statement issued on Wednesday.
According to Abdullahi, the adjustments were introduced following requests from aspirants as well as logistical considerations.
“Adjustments have been made to the primary elections timetable in response to aspirant requests and logistical considerations. Affected items are indicated accordingly. All other previously published dates remain unchanged,” he said.
The party explained that the submission of nomination forms, initially scheduled for May 13, 2026, has now been shifted to May 14, 2026.
It also stated that the screening of aspirants earlier fixed for May 14 and May 15 will now take place between May 16 and May 17, 2026.
According to the revised schedule, the publication of screening results will be done on May 17, while appeals against screening outcomes will be entertained from May 18 to May 19, 2026.
The ADC added that the final list of cleared candidates will be published on May 20, 2026.
The party further announced that post primary election appeals for legislative elections will hold on May 22, governorship election appeals on May 23, while presidential election appeals are scheduled for May 26, 2026.
Under the revised timetable, screening of presidential and governorship aspirants will take place in Abuja, while legislative aspirants will be screened in their respective states.
The ADC also clarified that the 25 percent concession approved for women and persons living with disabilities remains valid.
“Aspirants who may have submitted amounts in excess of this rate are advised that refunds will be processed and communicated in due course,” the statement added.
