At least 10 countries have now secured qualification for the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup 2026, following the latest round of knockout qualification matches.

The United States, England, and Belgium emerged as the newest teams to book their places in the next stage.

The United States secured a 2 to 0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina, with Folarin Balogun scoring before later being sent off.

England had to fight back to defeat Democratic Republic of the Congo 2 to 1 after falling behind early. Harry Kane delivered a match winning brace to send the Three Lions through.

Meanwhile, Belgium, managed by Rudi Garcia, produced a dramatic comeback against Senegal, recovering from a two goal deficit to claim a thrilling 3 to 2 victory.

Confirmed Round of 16 fixtures now include England facing Mexico, while Belgium will take on co hosts the United States.

Other nations already through to the Round of 16 are France, Brazil, Norway, Morocco, Paraguay, Canada, and Mexico.

With the tournament entering its decisive phase, attention now shifts to the Round of 16 as the race for world football’s biggest prize intensifies.
