Paris Saint Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi has expressed his desire to see one of his players win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Al Khelaifi, speaking to Marca, identified Ousmane Dembele, Fabian Ruiz and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia as the three Paris Saint Germain players he believes deserve the award.
He said: “Obviously, I want one of my three players to win it: Dembele, Kvaratskhelia or Fabian Ruiz, who also deserves it.
“Although you know that I know Kylian Mbappe well and that he is one of the best players in the world.”
Dembele, Ruiz and Kvaratskhelia are among the 30 players shortlisted for this year’s Ballon d’Or.
During the period under review, Paris Saint Germain won the Ligue 1 title and secured the Champions League trophy for the second consecutive season.
