Galatasaray midfielder Renato Nhaga has praised teammate Victor Osimhen for helping him settle quickly at the Turkish Super Lig club.
Speaking in an interview with Le Marca Sports, the 19 year old said the Super Eagles striker has supported and encouraged him since his arrival in Turkey.
The Guinea Bissau international described Osimhen as a role model for African footballers, saying the Nigerian’s journey to the top of the game is an inspiration.
“Osimhen is a very important figure for both me and all African players,” Nhaga said.
“He is someone who came from nothing and made it all the way here. He is a huge role model.
“He’s been supporting me from day one. He welcomed me very warmly. He always looks out for me and protects me.”
Nhaga joined Galatasaray from Casa Pia in January this year.
