Senator Sani took to Twitter on Tuesday to list the areas where the Federal Government has done well and other aspects where it failed since President Buhari assumed office in 2015.
He commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government’s fight against corruption and its efforts towards completing unfinished projects in the country, especially those left behind by the previous administration of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The lawmaker also applauded the resolve of President Buhari’s administration improving the nation’s economy and ensuring that Nigeria becomes self-sufficient.
He, however, took a swipe at the government for allegedly failing to respect the fundamental human rights of the citizens.
Similarly, Senator Sani accused the government of not protecting the lives and property of the people, as well as failing to respect the principles of separation of powers.
Addressing the nation earlier during a live broadcast, President Buhari said his administration is pained over the grievous loss of lives and properties occasioned by the carnage of insurgency and other forms of criminality in the country.
“I wish to assure Nigerians that we will not rest until all criminal elements and their sponsors are brought to justice. Government is boosting the capacity of our security agencies through recruitment of more personnel, training, and procurement of modern equipment, enhancement of intelligence gathering as well as boosting their morale in the face of daunting challenges,” he said.
In the fight against corruption, the President noted that Nigerians have begun to applaud the resolve of his administration.
