The Supreme Court this Morning Upturned the removal of the State Legal Adviser from Representing the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress in Courts.
The Supreme Court ruled that the State Legal Adviser Barr Chinweikpe remains the valid Person that can Speak for the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress in Court.
In the matter between Ibrahim Umar and 22 Ors V APC,the APEX Court ruled that It’s Barr Chinweikpe Chieme, and not Fagbemi SAN, that should represent the APC in any matter having to do with members of Rivers APC. That is the purport of the APC constitution.
“No letter from any national officer of the party, no matter how highly placed, can abrogate the party’s constitution” the Court Said.
