Abia teachers, under the aegis of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) yesterday suspended their indefinite strike declared last Friday to press for the payment of their backlog of salaries.
The state NLC Chairman, Uchenna Obigwe, confirmed that the NUT agreed to suspend the strike and gave the government two weeks to look into primary school Teachers Salary Structure (TSS) TSS, their alleged fraudulent taxation, among others.
