I Will Formulate blue prints To Improve ASPIMSS – NEW G.M

The New General Manager of Abia State Passengers Integrated Manifestand Safety Scheme (ASPIMSS) Chief Kingsley Megwara has assumed dutywith a promise that he would formulate blue print that will improveASPIMSS and provide what the agency will be known for in the next one
year.
 Chief Megwara who disclosed this while speaking with National Mirrorshortly after the handing over ceremony organized by his predecessorChief Ossy Nwammuo said with the co- operation of ASPIMSS managementteam the agency will improve on her performance in the nearest future

as he would run all inclusive administration without isolation.
        His words; “I am looking  forward to do my best to ensure that ASPIMSS will be better under my administration despite challenges and
task ahead before me; I am also looking forward to carry on the legacy
of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who was a two time ASPIMSS General
manager”.
        To achieve his objectives, Chief Megwara solicited for the
co-operation of the Directors and other top Managers of the agency,
promising that there will be collective efforts and responsibility
under his new assignment and warned that business as usual will not be
tolerated under his watch.
        He revealed that the State Government has procured four new
Ambulances for the agency assuring that as soon as ASPIMSS receives
these ambulances, they will be positioned at strategic places and that
trained nurses from the State Ministry of Health will be engaged to
take care of the ambulance services.
        According to Chief Megwara, the new ASPIMSS will carry out Sensitization Campaign to educate the public on the need to ensurethat passenger’s names and address are written on the manifestwhenever they are in buses, pointing out that very soon the agencywill establish its information department.
        On the payment of workers salaries he inherited from his predecessor,
Chief Megwara Commend the out gone G.M Chief Ossy Nwammuo for the able
way he had piloted the affairs of ASPIMSS during his period and also
commended him for the regular payment of salaries despite owing only
one month salary, stressing that owing one month salary is nothing
when compared with other National Agencies who are owing their workers
for over six months salaries.
        Speaking earlier, the out gone General Manager Chief Ossy Nwammuo
said he had contributed his quota for the development of the agency
promising that he will always be available to assist the new General
Manager whenever his presence is needed.
        Chief Nwammuo who served ASPIMSS as General Manager from June 2013 to
20th April 2016 noted that when he came on board ASPIMSS workers were
paid just peanut and that he increased the workers salaries to
something reasonable now, and also commended his management team for
their unflinching support through out his tenure and wish his new
successor well in the business ahead.
