The State Working Committee(SWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has assured all 21 governorship aspirant on the platform of the party that decision regarding camping of delegates would be fully complied with.
State PDP Chairman, Hon. Cleopas Moses, who stated this in a statement on Tuesday, said any plot to hijack delegates is a violation of the decision taken by all 21 aspirants and the State Caucus of the party.
It explains that camping of delegates would commence on 29th August, 2019, as adequate arrangement have been put in place for all delegates from the 8 Local Government Areas.
The SWC equally notes that it has investigated the alleged rumour of camping of delegates by a certain governorship aspirant and discovered that some stakeholders only invited delegates for interaction.
Hon. Moses in the statement adds that a commitment has been established from the stakeholders to submit the delegates to the party’s Accommodation Planning Committee, 5-days to the date slated for the primaries.
The Chairman of the Party further assured members of the party that it was the policy of the party to grant unimpeded access to all the aspirants and their Campaign Directors to the hotels where the delegates would be lodged.
It equally assured both delegates and aspirants of a level playing field, adding that preparations are at an advanced stage to ensure a free, fair and credible governorship primaries in the state.
