Reports coming in From Portharcourt had it that The Resident Electoral Commissioner of Rivers state, Dame Gesilia Khan has been hospitalized.

An Inside source within the office of the Independent National Electoral Commision in Aba road Portharcourt told PUO under the condition of anonymity that Mrs Khan was hospitalized and has since been taken to an undisclosed hospital in Portharcourt.

PUO gathered that the sudden sick of the RSIEC may not be unconnected with the series of electoral fruad reportedly committed by the state electoral body under the watch of Dame Gesila Khan

It will be recalled that Governor Rotimi Amaechi had refused to be accredited during last Saturdays Presidential Election because electoral officers at his Ubima ward polling unit could not present the result sheets. But the Rivers State REC said he was wrong to have asked for the election results.
“At the stage the governor of Rivers state Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi complained of not sighting the election result sheet, voting has not commenced, that was merely accreditation stage which has noting to do with result sheets. Please note that the governor of Rivers state went to the poll as a voter and not as a governor,” Khan said.

PUO who monitored the National collation of the Presidentail Result in Abuja reported that the Returning officer for Rivers state was unable to Read the result sheet he brought to the International Conference Center, venue for the Final Collation, his inablity made the INEC boss to assign the role to another person.
