An aspirant for the president of the student union government (SUG) in Rivers state university of science and technology (RSUST), Azunda Chizi Emmanuel, was kidnapped yesterday by 5-6pmby Yet to be identified gunmen at the school main gate few days before the School Students Union Government Election.
Puo Reports gathered that Azunda Chizi Emmanuel popularly refereed to as (ACE) was kidnapped on his way out of the campus after making series of consultations and campaigns on why he should be voted in as the New SUG President of the Rivers State University Of Science and Technology.
Azunda who will be in 400Level as the school resumes few weeks from today is a student of Electrical Department in the institution and is believed to be the most adorable aspirant among two others who also indicated interest in the position.
This incident is the first since 2010 when Normalcy returned to RSUST following efforts made by the outgoing Vice Chancellor of the institution Prof.Barineme Fakae.
The kidnappers is yet to make contacts to the institution or close friends of Azunda,and the Police is yet to issue a statement regarding the incident
