The Immediate past Abia State Commissioner For Information and Strategy Mr.ACB Agbazuere was yesterday beaten to stupor at DAMGRATE Hotel Umuahia,where the Tribunal Judges handling the petition filled by Dr. Alex Oti against the electoral victory of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu
.
According to Abia Facts Newspaper ACB Agbazuere was sent to deliver a message to the Tribunal Judges, but the security team warned him not to come close but he refused. His refusal led to the beating he received.
“Actually Agbazuere went to damgrate Hotel and requested to see the judges, the hausa’s security men on duty told him that they don’t allow non tribunal staff going up to see the respected Men of the Bar. He now started making noise of his CV and that he is also from the Bar. In fact he claimed to be the Ag. Of Abia state. When he found out the men were not ready to allow him,he tried to bribe them with notes of naira, at that point that they knew that the man came for evil and started beating him”. Recall that the three man panel of justices handling the Abia State Governor Election Petition had warned all parties to stay clear of them,in order to enable the panel dispense Justcie accoordingly
