EXCLUSIVE: UK Universities DEPORTS Rivers State Oversea Students Next Week

Students studying at the United Kingdom(UK) under the the scholarship of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency(RSSDA) will be deported on Tuesday by the Management of NOTHEHAM TRENTH UNIVERSITY(NTU)  and Brighton UNIVERSITY all in the UK following the inability of the Rivers State Government to pay their Tuition Fees.

One of the affected students who emotionally reached PUO REPORTS over the ugly development said that the school authorities has concluded arrangements to send them back home on Tuesday 1st September 2015.

Investigations carried out by PUO REPORTS Over the developments actually revealed that the management of Noteham Trenth University (NTU) and Brighton University has written to the Rivers State Government over their plans to send the Oversea students home.

When PUO REPORTS reached the Manager Media and Communications of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency(RSSDA)  Mr.Kingsley Uranta to know the position of the agency,Mr.Uranta Confirmed the move by the UK Universities to this media.

According to him” The Rivers State Governor Barr.Nyesom Wike released a total of N712Million To the Various Universities around the world were the Students under the scholarship of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency(RSSDA)  for the upkeep of the final year students abroad.

In addition. the State Government  also wrote a letter of commitment to all the schools where  students under the RSSDA Scholarship are currently studying to liquidate the outstanding fees in installments if it cannot pay all immediately.

But the institutions authorities insisted that if the government was able to pay for the final year students upkeep,then it should be able to pay for the tuition fees of students in order grades,failure which will see the students being sent back home,Mr.Uranta confirmed that the agency is aware of the move by the UK  University Authorities.the unfortunate thing about this move,is that all the students will be forced to forfeit one academic year if the government pays their tution fees” Mr.Uranta Concluded.
