The Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in APO HIGH Court Abuja,has adjourned till on Monday 12th for continuation of the defence of the 3rd and last Respondent which is the Peoples Democartic Party(PDP)
The decision to adjourn till on monday the 12th day of October 2015 followed the agreement by Counsel to the PDP that they will be sacrificing tomorow,despite sacrificing Wednesday 7th October,when it was expected they open their defence.
Recall that the Tribunal had given the Respondents 6days each to start,defend and end their case at the Tribunal,INEC,Nyesom Wike which are the 1st and second respondents respectively has ended their case,PDP is the last respondent in the petition brought by Dakuku Peterside of the APC,Who is challenging the declaration of Nyesom Wike as the winner of the April 11th Governorship Election in Rivers State.
PDP Which began their defence Yesterday after wasting one day out of the 6days allocated to them,began by tendering documents belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commision(INEC) as part of their own evidence to prove that election actually held in Rivers State,and that a winner truel Emerged.
However some Lawyers who spoke to PUO REPORTS over the tendered documents by PDP stated that the INCIDENT Forms being tendered by the PDP will be useless during the last address of all the parties involved in the petition,because the said documents belongs to INEC,which ought to have been tendered by them.
With this adjourment,the PDP now has only 2days to END their defence
