There were a mid drama today at the Rivers State National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja in the case between a former Senator Representing Rivers South East and the sitting Senator who is also reprenting same District Sen.Olaka Wogu.

When the Panel of Judges handling the petition filled by Sen.Magnus Abe against the electoral victory of Senator Olaka Wogu, there were jubilation at the court premises by  supporters of the APC,which many believed would have gone in favour of the APC.

The Tribunal Judge began his Judgement by striking out all preliminary motionsand objections by the PDP,INEC and Olaka Wogu, which lifted the spirit of supporters of Magnus Abe especially on the social media where many of them had announced Abe’s victory based on the inconclusive Rulling.

That jubiliation was put to rest, when the Tribunal Judge told the petitioner that he failed to call witnesses from the 1400 polling units in the Rivers South East Senatorial District, and as such the Election of the PDP candidate is uphled by his Panel.

Recall that Magnus Abe was given only 5days to call up his witnesses,it was shocking to the public on the outcome of the Judgement, even when opinion polls monitoring the proceedings of the tribunal had given their own Judgement in favour of the petitioner
