BREAKING :APPEAL Court Upheld’s Verdict of Rivers Tribunal

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja few minutes ago upheld the Earlier Judgement of the Rivers State Election petition tribunal which nullified the April 11 Governorship election in Rivers State.

The Appeal court panel presided over by Justice Dougban Memsen ruled in agreement with Justice Sulieman Ambursa led Rivers State Governorship election petition tribunal panel that the Governorship election conducted by INEC in Rivers State did not comply with electoral guidlines.

The judge while Reading her judgement said that the President of the Court of Appeal has every power to assign any judge to any Election petition panel.

On the issues of Jurisdiction and eligibility, the Judge ruled that the candidate of the APC was duely qualified as a Governorship candidate, she further wondered why PDP is hitting on it too much when INEC never complainef

The judge ordered INEC to conduct a fresh election in Rivers State within 90days.

The judgement was contained in 110 pages and according to the Judge, it will be made available in two days to all parties
