The Supreme Court is ready to deliver Judgement on the appeal filed by the Suspended,Dismissed and Disfellowshiped former General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Nigeria Rev Dr Paul Emeka against the Judgement of Justice Emmanuel Agim of the Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal.

Justice Emmanuel Agim of the Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal had on the 14th of April 2015 upturned the Judgement of Justice Anthony Onovo of the Enugu High Court on grounds that the Decision of the General Council of Assemblies of God Nigeria in Suspending Rev Dr Paul Emeka on the 6th of March 2014 was in Order and that the Appeal by Paul Emeka lacked Merit.

Paul Emeka had violated the Constitution of Assemblies of God Nigeria which frowned at any member or Minister taking the Church to Court.

The Supreme Court had on January ordered Rev Dr Paul Emeka to file his brief of argument on or before the 5th of February 2016.

Paul Emeka complied to that order by filling his brief of arguement on the 4th of February 2016 which the General Council of Assemblies of God has responded to his brief, asking the APEX court to dismiss his Appeal for wanting Merit.

The grace days for all parties to file all that are supposed to be file expired on Monday the 1st of May 2016 .

It is now left for the APEX Court to fix a date for Hearing of the matter
