It is reported that a party which had been thrown in the
community resulted in a fight which was taken to the palace for mediation.

The Baale reportedly brought out his gun and in a bid to put

A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity, said that the
monarch had only wanted to stop the fight, while describing the incident as
unfortunate.

He said, “There was a party in the neighbourhood on Monday, October 17, 2016.

Punch Metro reports that the victim who was an indigene of
Sokoto state, had been far from the scene of the incident when he was shot. His
corpse has since been deposited at the mortuary.

Following his arrest by police officers from the Ibafo
division, the case has now been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation
and Intelligence Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
