Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has assured that his government will be fair in treating all parts of the state in the allocation of resources and citing of developmental projects.

The Governor made this assertion today at his Country Home , Umuobiakwa in Obingwa LGA at an interactive session with the NZUKO UKWA LA NGWA, a pan Ukwa Ngwa SocioPolitical Group made up of the people of the 9 local governments of Ukwa Ngwa Land.

After listening to a long list of demands made by the representatives of each of these local governments, the Governor made it clear that his mandate covers the entire 17 local governments of the state and that he has a sacred duty to ensure that no part of the state is left behind. He promised to look at these requests together with other requests from other local government areas. He added that the emphasis on Aba is both strategic and deliberate since Aba is home to all Abians and a key factor in jumpstarting the economy of the state owing to its commercial and economic potentials.

He promised the people that as the first Governor of Ukwa Ngwa extraction, he will do his best to make them proud by working tirelessly to improve the lot of the entire people of the state. He called for the understanding of his own people in this regard and their continued prayers.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chikwendu Kanu, members of the State Executive Council, Traditional Rulers, Women and Youth groups, political stakeholders from the area were at the well attended event.

The interactive session moves to Ohafia later this week where the Governor will rub minds with the people of Abia North.
