The Inspector General Of Police Mr Ibrahim Kpotun Idris today sympathized with the Government and People of Abia State over the unfortunate incident that happened in the State Lastweek.
The Police Boss while Speaking at the Executive Chambers of the Abia State Government House Umuahia said he was in Abia to sympathize with the State over the unfortunate incident lastweek.
“We are here today to sympathize with the people of Abia State over the activities of some misguided individuals that attempted to excised Abia State from Nigeria”
The Police Boss also said the Police Command will promote Late Station Officer of Ariaria Police Station who died as a result of injuries he sustained when hoodlums set the Police Station On Fire
“We are trying to show the Importance we attach to everyman for standing by the Truth,we shall promote our officer who sacrificed his life for the unity of Nigeria” The Police Boss Said.
Responding to the Visit of the Inspector General Of Police,Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu said the Abia People believes in the Unity of Nigeria.
“We believe firmly that unless there is Security,we cant grow Prosperity,Why go to war if we can decide on the Table”
“The state of Abia is proud to welcome this August visitor in the month of September, in the person of IGP Ibrahim Idris, whose concern for improved public security is never in doubt”
The Inspector General Of Police later met with the Traditional Rulers,Members of the Hausa and Yoruba Communities in Abia at the Michael Okpara Auditorium Government House Umuahia where the Traditional rulers reaffirm faith with Nigeria
