Its a carnival in Abia State as the Governor of the State Dr. Ikpeazu tours completed and ongoing projects done by his administration.

The Governor is joined by the National Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Uche Secondus ,the National working Committee of PDP, Abia State National Assembly members and their State Counterparts.
Clergy, Traditional rulers, heads of media Houses and other government officials are also in the Governor’s entourage.

A brief Stop at the Umuda Erosion Control in Umuahia North was enough to attract encomiums from the visitors.

At the investment house in Umuahia , the story was the same. It was necessary to intimate our visitors on how Abia has been able to tackle difficulties in registering new businesses, investing in Abia, accessing loans and tracking revenues.

Aba road in Umuahia was another interesting project that has beautified the State Capital with superlative work being done by a grade A contractor; Arab Contractors Coy.

Governor’s Ikpeazu’s effort in Agriculture has not gone unnoticed. What could be best described as a revolution in the Sector was applauded by everyone. From Poultry Clusters in Nsulu off Ururuka road to Osisioma palm nursery farm that has over 4 million tenera palm seedlings species at Ahiaba Umueze.

Nbawsi road and Umunkpeyi-Amaiyi road were touched along Old Umuahia road. With fanfare organized by the cheering community, it was an expression of love and an assurance of hope. The over 20km roads have been asphalted. Hon Darlington Nwokocha, Member representing Isialangwa North and South Federal Constituency alongside his counterpart representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency Hon.Uko Nkole expressed joy with the level of reception accorded the Governor.

At the Umuaro-Umuanunu- Ekwereazu- Akwaibom road, the Contractor is asphalting the remaining part of the road. The road is key to Abia economy as it leads directly to Ikotekpene in Akwaibom State. Our quest for regional integration is being demonstrated by the Governor’s resolve to connect Abia back to our neighboring States through his network of roads in the State.

At the Multi skill Development Center, Umuobiakwa, the Governor and his visitors were led round the facility.
The project is in Obingwa LGA and has employed large number of youths.
They fabricate Streetlight poles, Iron gates,Chairs, tables and other wooden materials. The are also into bricks making for building and construction. The Skill Center is Managed by Mr Raymond Aliga.

Umuobiakwa -Owo- Onichangwa road in Obingwa was also a major project visited today. The 10km road is taking great shape. It is also a major economic road that cuts across communities in the State.
Ururuka road is progressing rapidly. Ururuka is at Obingwa, another gateway to Umuahia through Ogbohill popularly called old Umuahia road. The road has been dualized with drainage on both sides.

To be continued.
