African Assemblies of God Prays for Free,Fair and Peaceful Elections in Nigeria

-As Ebonyi State Government Government Treats Assemblies of God Leaders to a Dinner Party-

General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor and Dr Bananas Mtokambali has jointly Prayed for a Free, Fair and Peaceful Elections in Nigeria.

In a dinner at the Banquet Hall of Ebonyi State Government House on Wednesday 6th February 2019 hosted by Ebonyi State Governor, His Excellency Engr David Umahi, in honour of the visiting Executive Committee Members of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance (AAGA),
the head of the delegation, Dr Barnabas Mtokambali who is the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Tanzania and Chairman Africa Assemblies of God Alliance, ceased the opportunity to pray for a free, fair and peaceful general elections in Nigeria.

Earlier in an address, the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Nigeria and President, Central Africa Assemblies of God Alliance (CAAGA), Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor announced that AAGA EXCO is in Nigeria as part of their over sight function to access the readiness of the Assemblies of God Nigeria to host the World Pentecostal Conference in 2023.

Interestingly, the venue for the upcoming conference is selected to be Evangel International Conference Centre, Okpoto in Ebonyi State.

The dinner was graced by top government functionaries including the Deputy Governor, Barr Kelechi Igwe, the Secretary to the State Government, CAN Chairman, Ebonyi State and the officers of the General Council of Assemblies of God Nigeria, Senator Sam Egwu among other dignitaries.

In a vote of thanks, the Chairman of the Africa Assemblies of God Alliance, Dr Barnabas Mtokambali appreciated the Executive Governor and his cabinet members for their hospitality and used the occasion to admonish Nigerians on the ideals of a worthwhile election.

He urged Nigerians to vote for leaders who fear God, who hate dishonest gains and are trustworthy and those who have character and are competent.

He called on INEC to exercise fairness and justice in election management. Furthermore, he appealed to all political parties to follow the rules and guidelines for the political games.

The highlight of the event was a prayer session led by the visiting AAGA Chairman with his Nigeria host
