The order was issued a few minutes ago by the state government and is expected to take effect immediately.
According to Gov. Akeredolu, the curfew will run between 7 am to 7am on a daily basis.
While stressing that the curfew will last till further notice Governor Akeredolu said the move became imperative following what he described as the disregard of the existing measures put in place to curb the spread of the COVID-19 in the state by the people.
Governor Akeredolu, however, threatened to impose total lockdown in the state if he sees no change of attitude among residents.
Recall that Ondo State now has a total number of three confirmed cases of the deadly COVID-19 disease.
