Uzodimma Moves To Tackle Rural Road Menace In Imo

Flags Off Awo Omamma- Okwudor Road.

The Shared Prosperity Administration of Gov. Hope Uzodimma, is committed in reviving dilapidated infrastructures in Imo State which includes roads and other social amenities that provides good governance.

This was showcased on Thursday, 29,Oct,2020, when Gov. Uzodimma flagged off of the reconstruction of Awo Omamma – Okwudor road in both Oru East and Njaba LGA of Imo State.

It is imperative to note that the road has been neglected for over 20 years by administrations in Imo State.

While stating the economic importance of the road to Imo State, Uzodimma further hinted that if completed the road will ease traffic for investors coming into the State from other cities especially Onitsha and Lagos.

Earlier in his speech, Hon. Ralph Nwosu, the Commissioner for Works, disclosed that Awo Omamma Okwudor 12km road with Double drainage will be reconstructed by Henan D.R, and completed within the space of 18months.
