Express Sport reports reveal that Manchester United will not be attempting to re-sign Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in this summer’s transfer window.

Following Juventus’ disappointing exit from the Champions League, the rumour about the Portuguese international leaving the Old Lady intensified.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move back to Old Trafford and Real Madrid amid uncertainty over his future in Turin.

While Ronaldo coming back to Old Trafford was once a dream for Executive Director, Ed Woodward, the Premier League giants have now switched their focus to other targets according to the report.

During his time at Man United, the Portugal international helped the Red Devils to three league titles in a row, while also propelling them to Champions League glory.

Ronaldo, now 36, left United for Real Madrid in 2009 where he won several trophies and joined Juventus in 2018 and has continued to score goals, helping them extend their dominance at the top of Serie A.
But talks of a move away from the Allianz Stadium has gathered momentum in recent times, particularly in the wake of their Champions League exit to Porto.

United, as ever, have had their name thrown into the ring, yet Express Sport believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side has now moved on from their former hitman and are now focused on signing other targets instead.
