The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Mr. Nyesom Wike, has declared that the FCT Civil Service Commission will shortly start operations.

Wike made this announcement on Monday during the groundbreaking ceremony for a five-kilometer dual highway in the Federal Capital Territory’s Kuje Area Council.

According to the former governor, this development is the first of its kind in the territory’s history and complies with the FCT Civil Service Commission (CSC) Law, 2018.

Recalls that in October 2023, Wike declared that President Bola Tinubu had given his blessing for the FCT’s CSC to be established.

He clarified that employees in the FCT Administration will be able to progress to become permanent secretaries with the creation of the civil service commission.

“Very soon, the FCT Civil Service Commission will be announced. This has never happened before.

“Mr. President means well for the FCT. That is why you must continue to defend the mandate of Jagaban (Tinubu) because he means well for the entire country”, he said.

Wike stated this initiative aligns with President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, aimed at restoring hope among the populace.

“The renewed hope agenda is not just on paper; it is practical because you can see it, feel it, and touch it. I know things may not be moving as fast as we expect, but what is important is that Nigerians are beginning to rekindle their hope for change,” Wike said.
